July 23, 2000 - July 25 addendum There is no greater crime than presenting victims of genocide to those committing it as their own, and to the world in order to justify it. SDL's founder wrote to his congressman asking for a hearing where evidence of media disinformation can be presented to pave the way to legislation making it a hate crime. If you live in the U.S. we ask you to join the effort by writing to your representatives and to copy us so that we can post your letters for public view. One of the sources for corroborating by opinion which you may add to your letter was presented in Defense & Foreign Affairs Strategic Policy Magazine in their December, 1992 issue. The quote is attributed to their editor, Gregory R. Copley: "Pictures of dead or wounded (or raped) Serbs often fill the screens of the world's television and print media, only to be re-labeled as dead or wounded or raped Croats or Muslims. Many Serb victims not only suffer the indignity of defeat in death; they also are used in death as models in the macabre image manipulation operations of the Croatian and Muslim Bosnians. If the Vietnam War was lost to the United States by the negative television images of its own reporters, then the Balkan wars against the Serbs is being won... by an active planned manipulation of international television."If you have any questions or can give us some suggestions on what else we could do to put a stop to the demonization of the Serbian people and finally do them justice, please write or Email.
